The example seen here is finished in this stunning shade of medium emerald metallic paint, the exterior complements the factory color 8A interior. The comfort-weave bucket seats are complemented by the am 8 track radio, tinted glass, courtesy lights & an electric shaver front-end with those hideaway headlights, that were quite stylish and cool, back in the day. It also features sequential tail lights. The Cougar-styled steel wheels feature period-correct Firestone ovals with front disc brakes and super cobra jet side moldings. Overall, this Mercury Cougar is a very well-optioned car.
Only 53 Super Cobra Jet’s were ever made in 1969. This spec makes it a one of one and is documented with the original sales contract. The car comes with the owner’s manual, invoice, warranties and two Marti reports. The car is selling at no reserve at the BARRETT JACKSON’s Houston auction in Texas, between the 16th and 18th of September.
