The collaboration spawned three models of the GR Supra, inspired by Paul Walker’s personal, 1995 Toyota Supra. Like Walker’s Mk IV, the tribute car is finished in matte white and sits on 20-inch BBS LM wheels. Various subtle details have been added, such as a slightly revised lower front fascia, new carbon-fiber side skirts, and of course, a tall rear wing that looks like it came straight from an Mk IV Supra.
TOM’s Racing also made sure the car performed as well as it looked, which is why they swapped the stock suspension for KW V3 adjustable coil-overs. They also bumped the power of the 3.0-liter, turbocharged inline-six up from 382 to 420 horsepower.
In Japan, the car’s retail price is set at ￥12,970,000 ($116 547), which is over double the GR Supra’s normal retail price. We are not saying it’s preposterous, but given that you can make a tribute car yourself for a lot less money, the asking price hardly seems justifiable.
Still, if you are considering buying one of the three tribute cars, you can apply for purchase until the end of October. There will most certainly be more than three applications, which is why the three lucky owners will be chosen through a lottery. Although commemorating Paul Walker is as nice of a gesture as it can be, I would still build one myself, especially considering all aftermarket mods done to the tribute cars are off-the-shelve products.
