How Different Is The Liberty Walk Jimny On The Outside?
The company has come up with multiple kits and accessories for the Jimny. It even calls these kits ‘G mini Works’. There are four different body kits on offer. The Light body kit comes with just frontal enhancements, which include a front bumper, grille, and a wide fender. Liberty Walk has priced this at $3,196.
Next in line is the Complete body kit that comes with a rear wing along with the three items from the first kit. This is priced at $3,726. Then there’s the Premium Complete body kit, priced at $5,778, that includes:
- Front bumper
- Front grille
- Wide fender
- Rear wing
- Front roof spoiler
This Premium Complete body kit can be had with a carbon fiber hood, too. It is priced at $6,534, approximately $750 more than the non-carbon fiber hood package.
All these items can be purchased individually as well. Other than this, Liberty Walk also offers an LED tail lamp, headlight, front signal side marker set, and wheels for the exterior. For interior aesthetics, you can opt for seat covers, steering wheels, and floor mats, too.
No Mechanical Changes Under The Jimny’s Hood
Liberty Walk doesn’t offer any mechanical upgrades.
The Jimny comes with a puny 1.5-liter engine that churns out 102 horses and 96 pound-feet of torque.
The little off-roader comes with a five-speed manual gearbox that sends power to all the wheels. You can also have it with a four-speed automatic. Not the best specs on paper, but for its size and the segment it caters to, it seems to be alright.
The boxy Jimny comes in bright colors and gets all the attention on the road, but these things will take it up a notch. Say, if you had a Jimny, would you add stuff to make it look like the Mercedes G-Class, or would you prefer keeping it stock? Share your thoughts with us in the comments section below.
