Piers Morgan branded ‘handsy’ in cheeky dig from wife Celia Walden

Celia Walden has briliantly trolled husband Piers Morgan, dubbing him a ‘handsy hubby’ as they hitched a ride in a cab this week.

The pair have been out and about enjoying the easing of lockdown restrictions lately, spotted taking in a fancy dinner here and there – while also no doubt enjoying the end of Piers’s early alarm now he’s no longer on Good Morning Britain.

Taking in a Thursday night dinner in London, Piers and Celia were clearly in great spirits as they were seen leaving swanky establishment Loulous.

Piers flashed a thumbs up as they got into a cab, with the Celia looking pretty dang stylish matching her face masks to her outfit. Top marks for coordination, there.

In a dig at her partner though, Celia had earlier posted a photo to Instagram – seemingly on their way to dinner – with Piers’ hand seen placed on his wife’s leg.

In a cheeky move she wrote on Instagram: “NSICs, we used to call them when I was young and single. Not Safe In Cabs. I only went and married one #handsyhubby #haveyousanitised.’

Ever the joker, Piers piped up in the comments: ‘That’s not my hand.’

Piers has clearly been loving life since his departure from the ITV breakfast programme, following his refusal to apologise for comments about Meghan Markle.

While he’s busy lunching, pundits are predicting who will take his seat alongside Susanna Reid to co-host the flagship show.

Latest speculation seems to have Richard Madely in the hot seat, with reports he’ll be appearing on the programme in June.

‘Piers is nigh-on impossible to replace and GMB execs accept this, but Richard has his own inimitable style,’ a source told The Sun.

‘Like Piers, he’s a trained journalist who knows how to press guests and get a decent “line” from interviewees.

‘He shoots from the hip, says what he thinks, and is a genuinely brilliant, likeable chap off air – so it’s very much a “watch this space”.’

Richard spoke about his potential new job to Metro’s Sixty Seconds earlier this week, saying: ‘If the phone went and they said, “Would you come in and talk?” of course I would talk to them.

‘It would be bonkers not to. But I very much like sitting in for people. I have all the fun and very little of the responsibility or flak.’
