Taylor Swift Was a Bridesmaid in Lena Dunham’s Wedding, and There Are Pics

It’s a love story, and Lena just said yes (with Taylor Swift by her side).

Lena Dunham, the actor-writer-director who rocketed to fame with her generation-defining HBO series Girls, is now a married woman, and she had none other than pal Swift as one of her bridesmaids.

After a little under a year of quietly dating in London, where Dunham has recently wrapped production on her adaptation of Catherine, Called Birdy, she and Peruvian-British musician Luis Felber got married in an intimate ceremony that included friends, family, and Vogue. The outlet has exclusive details and pictures from the event, which you can see here (scroll to picture 29 for Tay), including fun details, like the fact Dunham wore three custom dresses and that, yes, they took COVID stuff seriously. (Guests were all vaccinated and tested.)

That includes Swift! The outlet reports the bridesmaid lineup included Tay, plus “actor Myha’la Herrold; Rosa Mercuriadis; Tommy Dorfman; Ali Trustman; her cousin Jenna Hally Rubenstein; Felber’s sister Alma-Kori Felber; and Dunham’s podcasting partner, Alissa Bennett,” all of whom wore matching white and blue floral printed dresses from The Vampire’s Wife, and later, custom silver dresses with a go-go feel.

Swift and Dunham have been friends for years; Dunham appeared alongside a bevy of stars in the video for Swift’s single “Bad Blood” from her album 1989. The connections here run deep and are, of course, a little complicated. Around the time Swift started collaborating with musician and producer Jack Antonoff, Antonoff was in a serious relationship with Dunham. Her song “You Are in Love” is about Dunham and Antonoff. They later split (duh; Dunham just married someone else), and Swift has continued to collab with Antonoff. But it looks like she’s stayed friends with Dunham, too.

Congratulations, Lena, Luis and all their friends, including Taylor Swift!
