In this issue John Walker reflects on his time with the Power Broker and the offer he accepted from Val to be the next Captain America and how it did not turn out so well. Also, John attends a party at the Avengers Compound and refers to them as "California Clowns" and does not have respect for them. Later in this issue the U.S.Agent has his first solo-adventure and would go on to battle and defeat the Scourge.
