This necklace is a Lone Star pendant necklace, often associated with Texas. It features a five-pointed star pendant, set within a circular or braided frame. The braided element around the star in the image is a common design feature found in such pieces. These pendants are commonly crafted from sterling silver but this one is not stamped although I was told it is sterling. The chain is a ball chain or similar style. The Lone Star symbol is a prominent emblem of Texas, representing its history as the Republic of Texas and its state pride. Many such pieces are described as vintage or artisan-crafted, with some originating from places like Mexico. This is from an estate sale and they’d had it since the 1960 but it is older. It’s in excellent vintage condition. The chain is 20” long with 3” extender.
