All the GQ Awards winners from Gareth Southgate to Ed Sheeran on glitzy night

The red carpet was unfurled and the stars came out to play as the glitz and glamour of the GQ Awards saw some big winner on the night

It was finally time to look out the dickie bows…

Last night, the Tate Modern was filled to capacity for the first black tie showbiz event after a year of lockdowns.

The GQ Men of the Year Awards 2021, in association with Boss, was hosted by Idris Elba and wife Sabrina.

Idris said the past year has been filled with “ Dominic Cummings and goings” and discussed the couple contracting Covid.

He joked he spent their isolation time on Pornhub while Sabrina gushed over Bridgerton’s Rege-Jean Page.

England manager Gareth Southgate was named Inspiration Of The Year, and was given his award by former England ace and Match of the Day host Gary Lineker.

Idris hit out at “d***head” racists who criticised the England squad and made him “embarrassed and ashamed”.

Director Quentin Tarantino was named Writer of the Year, with the gong presented by Shaun of the Dead director Edgar Wright, while rapper Stormzy dished out the Solo Artist of the Year award to Ed Sheeran.

Olympic stars from Team GB including Adam Peaty – who arrived with girlfriend Eirianedd Munro – arrived to collect their Jaguar Outstanding Achievement Of The Year.

The Masked Singer star Joel Dommett and wife Hannah looked dapper.

TV presenter Maya Jama adjusted her dress on the red carpet before having a heart to heart with her ex Stormzy.

Adrian Dunbar’s Line of Duty pals Vicky McClure and Martin Compston were on hand to present the star, who plays Ted Hastings, with his Television Actor of the Year award, while Paul Weller gave Bobby Gillespie an Outstanding Contribution win.
