TV legend Dame Barbara Windsor was earning money up until her sad death last December, new documents have revealed.

The EastEnders icon sadly passed away following her incredible battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Following her untimely passing, it’s been revealed that Barbara earned 75k the same year of her death – despite the fact she hadn’t worked in a number of years due to her condition.

Dame Babs was able to ensure her fortune continued after she set up a firm called called Sauce E Ltd in a bid to take in cash from her TV roles, ads and royalties.

Although the Peggy Mitchell actress set the firm up many years ago, it’s still trading now.

Her widowed husband, Scott Mitchell, 58, is now in sole charge of the firm.

Accounts sent to Companies House this week reveal cash reserves of £892,401.

As noted by Daily Star, the firm’s paperwork shows that more than £75,000 of income was owed the account for the last two trading years.

This included the 12 months to December 2020.

The assets skyrocketed when Barbara landed her iconic EastEnders role in 1994.

Barbara embodied the Queen of the Vic pub for 22-years until her final day on set in 2016.

Before landing the role as matriarch Peggy, the former Carry On legend had found herself in debt of one million pounds.

At the time of her sad death, Babs was reportedly worth a whopping £10million.

She had lived with Alzheimer’s for six-years before her death.

The revelation comes after Barbara’s widower Scott recently spoke openly about his late wife’s illness in an emotional interview.

Scott, who enjoyed 27-years with the EastEnders legend before her sad passing, has shared some vital advice on how to cope with the ‘frightening’ Alzheimer’s disease that claimed Barbara’s life last December.

Speaking openly about his loss on Steph’s Packed Lunch, the 58-year-old described his late wife as a ‘forced to be reckoned with’.

“She was a very fun, kind, warm lady… Barbara may have only been four foot 10 and a half, but she was a force to be reckoned with.”

Scott went on to share how Barbara’s Alzheimers battle took over her life as she became ‘withdrawn’ and confused in the early stages.

“Barbara was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2014 and she passed in 2020, December 10th,” he told.

“Barbara became a lot more withdrawn, for her, and then I realised that conversations were becoming repetitive so of course it’s an immensely confusing and frightening situation for the person living with it.

“And of course, for the carer, the most painful thing to watch is that you’re powerless against this thing.”
