Retailers have already been getting in the Christmas spirit by launching their festive ranges early.

In September, Morrisons unveiled its Christmas 2021 food range with an abundance of mouth-watering goodies.

This year’s festive menu features delectable starters, meaty mains, traditional trimmings and show-stopping desserts that you won’t be able to say no to.

A Morrisons spokesman said: “Our foodmakers have been busy creating a show-stopping range of festive food – to make Christmas a truly special event to enjoy together again this year.”

Demand for turkeys has been soaring ahead of Christmas as shoppers brace for festive food shortages.

Food experts have even told shoppers they should buy their Christmas dinner in advance and store it in the freezer if they want to avoid going without.

Iceland managing director Richard Walker said the supermarket’s Christmas website had gone live a month earlier than 2020 following customer demand.

Aldi has also reported soaring sales of frozen turkeys and Christmas puddings.

The supermarket is reportedly selling 1,500 frozen crowns a day, while pudding sales are up 45%.
