Pirates of the Caribbean star Orlando Bloom and his pal were snapped paddleboarding just metres from a great white shark off the coast of Malibu
Orlando Bloom has shared sensational footage of him paddleboarding in Malibu while a great white shark swims beneath him.
The 44-year-old actor shared the awe-inspiring video with his 5.3 million Instagram followers on Tuesday and his fans quickly flocked to the comments section in amazement.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star was out on the water with a pal when Carlos Gauna captured a clip of a ‘large juvenile white shark’ circling the pair in the water below.
The actor, who once caused a scene when he paddleboarded in the nude with now-fiancee Katy Perry, appeared fearless as he approached the beast on his board.
The topless hunk and his pal seemed just as inquisitive as the animal as they all swerved closer to each other in the shot.

Orlando posted the clip to his Instagram alongside the caption: “Paddle Boarding With Great Whites. When fear becomes your friend and @themalibuartist captures the moment.”
Photographer Carlos commented: “Awesome day man! You got some good looks of a large juvenile white shark. Happy for you! Something you’ll never forget. Very calm shark just chilling in Malibu!”
Carlos also shared the clip on his personal Instagram Stories and captioned it: “Thanks for the shout-out Orlando. Happy we could make this happen and talk about the importance of these sharks in our local waters.”
Back on Orlando’s post certain fans also made reference to the nude shot Orlando previously appeared in.
One user joked: “Yep we all remember the other paddle boarding picture.”
Another laughed: “You look a lot different this time on a paddleboard than the last time I saw you on a paddleboard.”
The video comes shortly after Orlando opened up on the crash that almost killed him.
He bravely detailed what happened during a horrifying accident 22 years ago that left him with a crushed spine.
The dad-of-two explained on his Instagram that he fell from the height of three floors and crushed his spine in the near-fatal accident in 1998.

Detailing what happened to him during the terrifying fall, he said: “That’s me in my back brace circa 1998 about 3months after I fell 3 floors and crushed my spine, narrowly escaping death and paralysis.”
He added: “Grateful everyday for my limbs that allow me to push my limits and live life on my edge (safer now),” finishing off the caption with a prayer emoji.
Well, looking at the latest video, some fans might argue that he’s not living much safer if he’s swimming with sharks.
