This Morning presenter Alison Hammond has admitted to having a bizarre house hunting habit – where she goes round to tour £10 million houses even though she can’t afford them
Alison Hammond books viewings of £10 million houses to have a look around even though she can’t afford them.
The This Morning presenter has confessed to touring around the country to look at luxury homes even though she has no intention of buying them.
Alison says she is “obsessed” with viewing houses online and even goes to view some of them in person. The presenter likes to build it in as part of her travel routine when she goes off to different places for work.
She told Prima magazine “When I’m travelling the country, I will put in ‘current area’ and see what is on offer.
“When I turn up to see the houses, they think I’m going to buy them, because ‘it’s Alison Hammond off the telly and obviously she can afford it’. Which I obviously can’t?
“I go and see £10 million house that I can’t afford and they think I’m going to buy them. I love houses. My mum always used to say you have to have a dream and something to aspire to, so that’s my dream.”
Alison may have more money to shell out on a new house very soon as she recently signed a brand new deal with clothing company In The Style, on what she promises to be the “most inclusive range yet”.
She penned: “Such a pinch me moment !! I am SO excited to announce I’m working exclusively with @inthestyle on their most inclusive and diverse range EVER!!
“This range is THE PEOPLES COLLECTION and I’m going to be working with you guys creating a range that YOU want!! I’m so excited!!!
“I’ve always loved In The Style and what they stand for and I’m really excited to be working with the whole ITS team over the next month creating this.
“I’m going to be bringing you lots of fun content over the coming weeks whilst creating the ultimate people’s range!!” she added.
“The collection will be sizes 4-30 and the most inclusive collection out there in the industry!! Wow!! I want to make sure everything I do is true to me and also hopefully making you all feel more confident IN THE STYLE you wear!”
Alison is best known for her presenting gigs and fronts This Morning alongside her “work husband” Dermot O’Leary, who she joked “steals her lines” and quipped that she prefers to be socially distant from him.
“I quite like the two metre rule because I look better at a distance. I normally love the way I look, but I sit next to Dermot and think, ‘Bloody hell, I’m massive compared to you.'”
